Flights to Sultan Ismail International Airport in Senai are available from major cities in the region. The airport is about 32 kilometers out of town. Airport limousine services take you to various destination at fares controlled by the government. 

By Rail

The KTMB provides a train service from Singapore to Johor and other states of Malaysia. All train tickets are sold at the ticketing offices in the respective states in Malaysia. From Singapore, train leaves as early as 8.50am and it is not difficult to catch one to Johor Bahru. From Johor Bahru Train Station, you could take a bus or taxi to places like Mersing which leads you to Malaysia's Tropical Islands or to Desaru Beach.

By Road

Visitors travel by road can easily access to Johor using the PLUS highway (North-South Highway). There are numerous directive signboards put up at roadsides and junctions. Just heading the way to Johor or Johor Bahru (Johor Baru) will lead you to the destination.

The neighbouring country, Singapore is linked up to Johor Bahru with the causeway. Visitors can go back and forth between Malaysia and Singapore via the causeway or Second Links (E3). The road that connecting Second Links (E3) to North-South Highway at Tanjung Kupang, which is at 30km South-west of Johor, has brought a lot of convenience for visitors. 

You can either take buses, taxis, coaches or even hire a rented car to Johor. All states in Malaysia provide passenger road transportation services to Johor. Tickets are sold at the ticketing offices in the respective state by the transportation operators.

Traveling to and fro from Singapore to Johor is very convenience. There are various transportation services from Singapore to Johor.

The Taxi stand next to the bus terminal offers services to Johor. You will arrive at opposite Kota Raya Plaza (near to City Square Shopping Centre) or to Kota Raya Bus Terminal. It drives you through the Woodlands Causeway to Johor Bahru at the Johor-Singapore Taxi Stand. You take a Malaysia-Singapore Taxi at non-stop to Bugis and the Singapore Comfort Taxi for coming back and allowing you to stop at Woodlands after the checkpoint.

If you are more adventurous and prefer to travel by car, you may hire a car from the car rental service operators. There are many car rental companies in Malaysia. Get one near the location at where you staying and get on with your happy journey to discover more unforgettable memories in Malaysia.

The rental fee is depending on the type, brand and model of the vehicle you are hiring. There are a few modes of rate being practised by different operators, daily rate, weekly rate or even monthly rate depending on your needs. You must have a valid international driving license if you are a foreign visitor, or a valid local driving license if you are local in order for you to drive on the road. Rental fees can vary between RM50 to more than RM1,000 a day. So, get one that suits your requirements and budget.

By Cruise/ Ferry

The ferry terminal in Tanah Merah Terminal in Singapore offers ferry services to various destinations in Johor. You can take  bus from Tanah Merah MRT to the terminal.
